Bangladesh has seen unfortunate major structural incident of Rana Plaza Collapse where at least 1134 person have lost their lives and approximately 2500 others were injured. After the tragic Rana Plaza Collapse the Ready Made Garments (RMG) sector of Bangladesh has seen a drastic change in the field of Safety Engineering. Alliance and Accord were formed immediately after the incident and huge emphasis were given on the safety of garments workers. Now-a-days all Factories in Bangladesh regardless of factory type must meet certain Structural Engineering and Structural Safety standard requirements to keep them operational.
