Tar based pipe coating membranes or tapes are manufactured from high, special grades of tar that are calendared along with high strength carriers. Tar has tremendous resistance to aging and has incredible mechanical properties which makes such tapes an excellent anti-corrosive treatment for MS Pipelines and other structures. Polymeric pipe coating tapes are manufactured using Polymeric mix that is calendared between various types of high strength carriers. The resulting tapes have excellent flexibility and elasticity to provide long lasting and effective protection from corrosion. IWL’s Polymeric tapes conforms to Codes IS 10221 and AWWA C 203.

⇨ Pypkote

Pypkote is a Polymeric tape which is used to prevent corrosion of underground pipes. Pypkote is a Pipeline Corrosion Resistant Tape conforming to IS 10221 Appendix-B Specification. It comprises of a Tar based Polymeric mix supported on a fabric of high tensile strength Fibreglass. The Polymeric mix is specially manufactured to have properties of high softening point, high penetration and high resistance to ageing. Tape is terminated on both exteriors by thermofusible HMHDPE Film which aids in the installation process. Pypkote is available in widths of 150 mm, 250 mm, 500 mm and 1000 mm.

⇨ Pypkote AW

Pypkote AW is a Coal Tar Based Corrosion Protection Tape conforming to AWWA C203 specification. It comprises of a Coal Tar based mix supported on a fabric of high tensile strength fibreglass. The mix is specially manufactured to have properties of high softening point, high penetration and high resistance to ageing. Tape is terminated on both exteriors by thermofusible HMHDPE Films which aids in the installation process. Pypkote is available in widths of 500 mm and 1000 mm.

⇨ Pypkote Self-Adhesive

Pypkote Self Adhesive is a cold applied Pipeline Corrosion Resistant Tape conforming to IS 10221 Appendix-B Specification. It comprises of a Tar based Polymeric mix supported on a film of high tensile strength HMHDPE. The Polymeric mix is specially manufactured to have properties of high softening point, high penetration and high resistance to ageing. Tape is terminated on top side by thermofusible HMHDPE Films and on the bottom side with a special release film. Pypkote Self Adhesive is available in width of 1000 mm.

⇨ Liquipox CTE

Liquipox CTE is a two component, coal tar modified epoxy paint which will provide waterproofing, chemical resistance and sea water resistance to metal & concrete substrates. Liquipox CTE will provide excellent bonding and high tensile strength. Liquipox CTE is available as two component system and the mixing ratio is 4 parts of Component-A to 1 part of Component-B.
